MegaReg Lunchtalk: China and the Megaregionals

MegaReg hosted Heng Wang, associate professor at UNSW Law, Sydney for a discussion on China’s approach to international economic law in the era of megaregional agreements such as TPP, TTIP, and RCEP. MegaReg project director Benedict Kingsbury chaired the session and MegaReg fellows Paul Mertenskötter and Thomas Streinz introduced and critiqued two papers by Heng Wang: “How Might China Respond to the TPP? The Dual-Track Approach of Inclusive and Regulatory Response?” and “The Future of China’s Approach to International Economic Law in Deep FTAs Era: A Paradigm Shift Towards Deep FTAs Lite?”, followed by a general discussion with the audience.
