Nour Soubani is an organizer and writer from Michigan. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, International Studies, and American Studies at the University of Michigan, and her Master’s degree in Middle East Studies at the Harvard Center for Middle East Studies. Nour has worked as a grassroots community organizer in Dearborn, Michigan focused on ending racial profiling and surveillance of Arabs and Muslims, and as an analyst in Washington D.C
supporting litigation related to the Middle East and Muslim communities globally. She has researched and written on Islamophobia, Muslim identity, and contemporary politics. Nour is interested in international, human rights, and civil rights legal work as a tool for movement-building.
