The Public Interest Law Center invites students to a conversation with UN Under-Secretary-General David Malone, Rector of the United Nations University and Senior Fellow at the IILJ. Prior to joining UNU in 2013, Dr. Malone held many high-level roles in the Canadian government, including positions within the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and as Canada’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Representative to the UN Economic and Social Council, and High Commissioner to India. He has also held a number of research posts, published extensively, and teaches at NYU Law.

Dr. Malone will discuss his extensive career and will speak to the wide range of international public interest opportunities available to lawyers, particularly at the United Nations, within the realm of international diplomacy, and in the internationally-oriented non-profit and hybrid public-private partnership worlds.
