VI. Theoretical Works
This section details the work that has been published on various different theoretical aspects of the emerging field of global administrative law. It is structured according to the predominant approach of the texts in question, either in the abstract or discussed in the context of a particular controversy, regime or institution. There are sections on legal theory in general; political theory (including both postive and normative theory); democratic theory (relating both to the national demos and to the potential for supranational and even global democratization); postnational constitutionalism (arguably manifested in regional integration, particular global institutions, or even at a universal level); legitimacy; international relations theory; and political economy (broadly understood as referring to interdisciplinary studies drawing on law, political science and economics in order to explain the dynamics of global governance).
